Attention calling all Summer hungry sun-lovers! Booking for Summer Season 2024 is available to book! Our first cruise is setting off on the 1st April 2024. Pre-book your place now on our website. We're so incredibly lucky to be able to kick off our boat tours for yet another year around the mesmerising Maltese Islands. New season, new faces, new memories are waiting to be made. Not everything is new though, we will be cruising you to the timeless Maltese favorites. Blue Lagoon, Comino, Victoria, Gozo, St Paul's Islands and more!

If you're new here or it's your first time travelling to Malta, allow us to explain to you the sights you MUST see this Summer when visiting the famous rock in the Mediterranean sea that is Malta.

First of all we kick off the cruise from the classic sea side town of Bugibba, St Paul's Bay. Bugibba was originally a seaside town built up by the British during their occupancy here. Hence why you will find some classic British Bar names like, Fat Harrys Bar & Restaurant or Victoria's Gastropub. Bugibba now however has gained a reputation for having some world class Beach Clubs like Cafe Del Mar, Beef Bar & Nine Lives. Near by the harbour you can find the exquisite LOA Fusion South American cuisine. It's also home to some international favourites McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Starbucks, which is just a 2 minute walk away from our boat The Mermaid. You can grab your Frappe-frenti-venti-capacoo to go or follow the Italian style and knock back an espresso & water at one of the many coffee shops located near by the harbour. Bugibba is filled with resort hotels like the newly built Sea View Hotel, the all inclusive favourite San Antonio Hotel or the Classic favourite The Dolmen Hotel. Depending on your budget there are lots of Airbnbs and boutique hotels to suit you while staying close to sea!

There are three main Islands to see with Mermaid Cruises Malta. You've got the Island of Comino, the Island of Gozo & St Paul's Islands.

The famous Blue Lagoon, Comino

Turquoise crystal clear water upon entering the cover for mooring. This place is a piece of paradise and a popular tourist destination. When you dock you will enter the main beach, (with Mermaid Cruises we dock directly to solid ground at the Blue Lagoon so you don't have to get your feet wet, you can walk off the boat comfortably!) This area can be busy so we always recommend those looking for a quieter area, to walk a little around the coast and find another bay. Santa Maria bay, Comino is a beautiful sandy beach bay. In fact you can also find the only church and police station on the island here! If you fancy a bite to eat on the Island of Comino do not fear there are plenty of options from the Kiosks. We have to give a shout out to The Blue Lagoon Kiosk run by Sean the Yellow Kiosk that has the best steak-sandwiches on the Island, or maybe even in MALTA. Quench your thirst with a (in)famous Pineapple cocktail from the cocktail guys! Its the ideal insta worthy shot. Have your insta husbands and wives at the ready. There are watersports activities available in Comino, jet ski's, banana boats, inflatable sofa boat the lot, We only ask that you leave the island as you found it so bring your waste home with you or use the rubbish bins provided. Keep our seas clean!

Glorious Gozo

Next stop Mgarr harbour, Gozo the Sister Island of Malta. Take a step back in time and delve into the Gozitan culture. You can get dropped off at Mgarr Harbour, where if you're in the mood for sit down meal, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you're a larger group we recommend calling in advance to secure a place as in the height of the Summer it can be super busy! Stop off for a refreshing drink at Glen Eagles, the iconic bar located in the harbour. If you're feeling fancy how about checking out the dining experience at 180 Restaurant. We've got to give a shout out to Rexy's Restaurant its about a 10 minute walk up from the harbour and it serves the BEST Maltese cuisine at incredible prices! Don't run over time though make sure you check your watch while on the Island of Gozo, as we say a plane or train won't wait for you and neither will we, we run on a tight schedule!

Get the most out of your Gozo cruise and opt for our bus to Victoria the capital of Gozo. Take this opportunity to see as much as possible in Malta. Take the private transport (private meaning only you and other Mermaid Cruises Passengers) to the Capital Victoria, steeped in history. Pick a place and immerse yourself in the cobbled streets that tell a story, the aging churches and the unique Victoria market so you can bag yourself that souvenir to remember the occasion. We recommend checking out all the Cittadella has to offer. To quote Visit Gozo "The Citadel has been at the centre of activity on the island since possibly Neolithic times, and was certainly fortified during the Bronze Age around 1500 BC. It was later developed by the Phoenicians and in Roman times, it was a complex Acropolis." So you don't want to miss that!

Sublime Maltese Coastline

Moving back to the cruise, when you rejoin your cruise on the Mermaid again after your exploration of Gozo, you'll want to take in all that the mysterious Maltese coastline has to offer and believe us its jam packed! Giant Octopus cave, Open Top Face cave, Santa Maria caves, the Mermaid enters the caves (at no extra charge might we add to save your cash for you) for the perfect photo shots. Entering the caves is weather dependent so we're manifesting calm seas and perfect timing so you can grab all the photo snaps needed.

Historical St Paul's Island

Paul? Who's Paul? Oh it's The St Paul's Island's. Why stop here? Why not! Its a secluded island off the cost of St Paul's bay. Legend says that St Paul was shipped wrecked there on his way to Damascus. Its a sacred island to the Maltese people as he was the one who spread the word of Christianity through the island. Unfortunately he was then caught and beheaded in Rome but that's another story for another day. Anyway stroll up and check out the statue of St Paul or take one last dip in the water to cool off before your final decent back to Bugibba Harbour.

Try not to cry as your cruise of the Maltese Islands comes to an end you can come back with us again as we operate daily from 10am - 5pm 7 days a week April till November. Finish your day on a high and cool down with an Ice cold Gelato from the Famous Marco Tanti Gelateria. Service with a smile, incredible delicious goods and the ideal location. A reminder that to get back to your hotel or home you should check the Tallinja App or the Malta Public Transport website, the bus stop is called The Moll which is located right outside the harbour. There are of course lots of taxi services available also like Bolt, Uber or Ecabs to name a few.

We hope we've given you a clear view of what your day could look like cruising with us. Book your place onboard today! Limited spaces available so don't miss out. If you're looking for some more information on what to do and see while in Malta we recommend checking out the Visit Malta site they've got lists of what's on, things to do, this will help you plan your trip.
